What does the warranty cover?

Twelve months from the invoice date, covering manufacturing defects and hardware malfunctions under normal use. It does not cover physical or accidental damage, liquid damage, software problems or normal battery wear. Keep the original invoice and make sure the serial or IMEI matches our records — Playphone handles the claim with the authorised supplier on your behalf.

How long does delivery take in Oman?

Delivery is free anywhere in Oman. Inside Muscat it is typically 2 to 3 business days, with dispatch within 48 hours on items held in stock. You can also collect from our Ruwi or Salalah store, usually the same day when the item is on the shelf.

Is this product original?

Yes. Every AirPods 5 we sell is brand new, factory sealed and 100% original. Playphone does not stock refurbished, pre-owned or grey-market units. You can check the serial or IMEI on the sealed box against the device before you accept delivery, and the same number is recorded on your invoice.

They are IP57 rated for dust, sweat and water — earbuds and case. That covers rain and a workout, not swimming, and Apple says not to charge the case while it is wet.

Can AirPods 5 be used as hearing aids?

No. The hearing test and hearing aid features are on AirPods Pro, not on AirPods 5. Do not buy these for that reason.

Do they work with Android?

They pair as ordinary Bluetooth earphones, so audio and calls work. Personalised Spatial Audio, Adaptive Audio, Siri and Find My need an Apple device on current software.

Do AirPods 5 have noise cancellation?

Yes. Both versions have Active Noise Cancellation, Adaptive Audio and Transparency mode, in an open-ear design that does not seal the ear canal.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 4 hours of listening with noise cancellation on, 6 hours with it off, and up to 20 hours in total with the case. Five minutes in the case gives about an hour.

What is the difference between the two AirPods 5 versions?

The earbuds are identical. The wireless version's case charges on a Qi pad or an Apple Watch charger as well as USB-C, has a speaker for Find My, adds the volume swipe on the stem, and lasts an hour longer per charge (5 hours against 4, or 22 against 20 with the case).

How much are AirPods 5 in Oman?

OMR 60.500 at Playphone Oman for the USB-C Charging Case version, reduced from OMR 70.000. Sealed, 100% original, 12-month warranty and free delivery anywhere in Oman.
