What does the warranty cover?

Twelve months from the invoice date, covering manufacturing defects and hardware malfunctions under normal use. It does not cover physical or accidental damage, liquid damage, software problems or normal battery wear. Keep the original invoice and make sure the serial or IMEI matches our records — Playphone handles the claim with the authorised supplier on your behalf.

How long does delivery take in Oman?

Delivery is free anywhere in Oman. Inside Muscat it is typically 2 to 3 business days, with dispatch within 48 hours on items held in stock. You can also collect from our Ruwi or Salalah store, usually the same day when the item is on the shelf.

Is this product original?

Yes. Every Redmi Note 17 5G we sell is brand new, factory sealed and 100% original. Playphone does not stock refurbished, pre-owned or grey-market units. You can check the serial or IMEI on the sealed box against the device before you accept delivery, and the same number is recorded on your invoice.

Does it support 5G in Oman?

Yes, it is a 5G phone and both Omantel and Ooredoo run 5G networks in Oman. Coverage depends on your area and your plan — check your operator's map for where you live and work.

Redmi Note 17 or Note 17 Pro?

Fifteen rials separates them. The Pro adds Gorilla Glass Victus 2, IP68/IP69K, a 3-metre SGS-certified drop rating, optical stabilisation, an 8MP ultra-wide, 67W charging and a 3500-nit screen. The base Note 17 keeps the microSD slot and the bigger 7,700mAh cell. Choose the Pro for durability and cameras, the base for battery and expandable storage.

How many cameras does it have?

One rear camera, 50MP at f/1.8, and a 16MP front camera. There is no ultra-wide or telephoto, and Xiaomi does not list optical stabilisation. Video records at up to 1080p 30fps.

Does it have a memory card slot?

Yes, up to 2TB, in a hybrid slot — second SIM or memory card, not both at once. It is the only Note 17 model with a card slot.

Is the Redmi Note 17 5G waterproof?

It is IP65 — dust tight and rated against water jets, but not rated for immersion. That covers rain and splashes. The Note 17 Pro and Pro Max are the models rated IP68 and IP69K. Liquid damage is not covered by any warranty.

How big is the battery and how fast does it charge?

7,700mAh with 45W turbo charging, and it can charge other devices at up to 22.5W over the cable. Xiaomi does not publish a charge time in minutes for this model, so we do not quote one.
